How old are you, in semver?
Software gets a version number. People should too.
This site, in its own notation
0.0.0
A person’s version number is their age written the way software is: MAJOR is your decade, MINOR is your year inside it, PATCH is the days since your last birthday.
Two editions
-
Birthday Edition SLOT A
Your age, from your birthday. Add as many people as you like — the whole household fits on one page.
/birthday/4.6.52 -
Work Edition™ SLOT B
Years of tenure, quarter within the tenure year, business days into that quarter. Weekends don’t tick.
/work/3.2.40
Send someone their number
Add a note to someone’s birthday or work anniversary. A countdown appears in the final seven days before the next occasion, and the number updates using the viewer’s local date. Make a card — no account needed. Card records are marked for expiry after 400 days.
Bookmark a view. Save a card.
Ordinary birthday and work views keep their names, dates, and theme in the URL. Bookmark that link to return to the same people or roles, with their numbers updated for the day.
Creating a card saves its contents on our server and gives you a short shareable link. Anyone with that link can open the card. See what is stored and how sharing works.
Twenty-eight themes
Every view can be dressed up: a thermal receipt, a split-flap board, a nixie tube bank, a fridge door, a stock ticker, an out-of-office reply. All twenty-eight work in both editions — browse the gallery or see them carrying real people.
